My Leila turning one... just one more proof that I have to treasure every good moment, remember that time flies in the not-so-good moments, and just flat not wish any moment with my children away to a so-called "easier" age. I really could not measure or count how much joy and how many smiles Leila Frances has brought to our family. We are truly blessed.
they are so dear to my heart...
Pumpkin cakes for my punkin
the reasons my girls are sweet, beautiful, talkative, smart, and a little ornery! ;) not necessarily in that order...
My wonderful mother-in-law turned 60 this year... so of course, now that she has 3 daughters, she got a surprise party! Gina is always game for a party of any kind, so she hosted the red hat themed party at her house. Mom and her friends are such a fun-loving group! Combine that with a chance to dress up in hats, feathers, and heels and sit around a table surrounded by lifelong friends while enjoying lunch? What a grand time! I overheard Gina promise some of the ladies that she wouldn't post any pictures of them to facebook, and she honored her promise :). I made no such promises, and this isn't facebook, and these are just too cute to keep to myself! Hopefully none of them will scold me...
I'm getting ready to start blogging about our party-filled October, but before that I thought it appropriate to document one of my girls' favorite activities lately ~~~ spinning in circles on the floor.
Ha! They must be watching their mama run in circles so much lately that they want to do it too!
And Emma's favorite medley... "Jesus Loves Me" followed by "Happy Birthday" to whoever has had a birthday in that month.
Normally it's followed by "Away in A Manger" but I'm not sure why she skipped it this time.
Clinton and I were just saying a while back how last year at Christmastime we joked that she'd be singing it 'til March. Then March came and we said maybe June.
Now we are kind of impressed she sang it the whole year, and it's almost Christmas again!
Well I better get going on the rest of October... will be lots of pictures :)
