Cake Pops

Today I made cake pops --- with the help of my talented and creative friends :) In celebration of a very special baby shower for my sis-in-law who is so beautifully carrying my triplet nephews and niece, I thought I should give these cake pops a try! They really were so much fun to make. Not hard if directions are followed properly; although I do think it's a 2 or 3 person job. The possibilities are endless with these little cuties and I will definitely be making them again!

***Our 4th of July***

We had a super fun, full-of-laughs fourth of July. Smack dab in the middle of a busy summer, it is a special treat just to relax and enjoy friends... and like many holidays, makes me realize how time goes by so quickly as I think about Independence Days gone by.
Emma and Monica (our hostess with the mostest!)

Miss Marisa LOVES the fireworks :)

hmmm why did I not think of this before?

sticking pretty close to Daddy and Dan while the fireworks were going

It's beginning to look like...

a house!

Yayyyyy!  Still crossing our fingers that it will be done before baby comes in October. OK so I'm still crossing my fingers - everyone else thinks it can't be done. Except Uncle Del, and he's the boss, so I'm just going with what he says :)  and if it doesn't happen I will probably cry sad, hot and miserable 9 months pregnant tears. No big deal and no pressure for him. Ha!
Electric and plumbing coming the end of the week. So far this building process is still a lot of fun; hoping it will stay that way! We have been so blessed by dear friends and family that so willingly come to help with whatever they can.

Caleb and Jake

Uncle Roger, Garrett, Dad, Alex, Andrew, and Chester too

Stephen and Landon

Bodie and Stash keeping watch

and Sylvia too

These are special memories for us and we can't wait to open the front door when we're finally finished to welcome these friends and family who have so graciously given time and muscles...

Summertime!

I should've known when I casually said we didn't have a busy summer this year that it would change.
So far it has been gobs of fun and go-go-go ~ many beach trips already
and we're not done yet!
The days home with my girl and relaxed evenings outside with Clinton
are the times I treasure most, though...
as I know how the months fly past and all too soon will be years past.
Oh that I never forget that the dear ones in my life are gifts from the Giver of all good things.

Little by Little...

board by board...

Progress is being made!

Ready for the rest of the roof to go on so it doesn't look like a square modern house :)
So far it has been such a fun process -
Uncle Del and Taylor are great to work with...
and we haven't had to make any hard decisions yet.
I'm sure they will come about time I'm very very pregnant and emotional.
Yikes.
Someone told me the other day that it's advised not even to make such decisions as cutting your hair while pregnant, let alone build a house!!!
Oh dear.

These are the days...

Has it really been so long since I posted? It is boggling to me how time flies by so quickly!
I want to soak up these days...

with my girl in the sunshine, watching her play with her beloved Bodie and get as dirty as possible

boating in the delta breeze

byo baby in the rocking chair first thing in the morning instead of up, off, and running

spending quality time with family for no reason at all

lingering at girlfriend's houses way too late but not caring because it's so worth it

watching the house we plan to raise our family and grow old in being built out the back door

spontaneous Sunday drives searching for wildflowers in the hills

enjoying my husband's BBQ dinners on the patio and staying outside way past Emma's bedtime...

These are the days.

Oh thank you Father God for these blessings I am so very undeserving of...
